Take three live wooden puppet children and team them with a detective agency run by Dorothy and her partner, a blind Scarecrow and his seeing-eye dog, Toto, and set them off to find the puppets' missing parents. The parents have been carved into self-lighting candlesticks in the images of Greek Gods. Considering that the parents can be viewed as products, or living beings, they have either been stolen or kidnapped. Nonetheless, the puppets and detectives follow an odd trail from Italy to the belly of the Whale Inn in New Bedford, Massachusetts, where it ends with a hilarious confrontation with Caribbean pirates.
